Works Fine
I've only had this printer about two months but it works fine for my purposes. It prints both text and pictures. My HP had trouble dealing with glossy photo paper. I have not encountered this problem with this printer. I cannot comment on the FAX function as I have not used it.

Good AIO printer
This is my second Canon AIO printer; black and white printing is fast, not overly noisy, the colors on color printing are a little off, but I haven't played with adjusting them yet. Scanning with Adobe Acrobat works smoothly and PDF quality is good. I like having separate ink tanks, haven't used the printer enough to determine how economical it is to use. Altogether, I'm satisfied.

No conflict with Logitech Applications
See my Lexmark X7675 review.

No conflict with Logitech Set Point and Harmony Applications.

If you are concern with the Fax function interrupting an establish voice call. Canon has an F/W update. Canon's Knowledge Base has method to check F/W version and download instructions.

The MX700 I purchased contained the updated firmware.

Happy Customer
Product was delivered quickly and within time specified. Easy installation and very easy to use. I recommend this printer for either personal or professional use. The price for the Canon MX700 on Amazon far better than what I could find elsewhere.

Love Almost Everything About This Printer
I really wanted to give this printer a five star rating.

We have this printer hooked up on the network in our house as well as via USB to a Windows Vista machine. Two Macs connect to this printer over the network and have no issues printing to it.

Once the software from Cannon is installed in OS X, scanning couldn't be easier. I really like being able to choose not only which computer, but the user account directly on the printer itself that will receive the scanned documents. What really impressed me with the combination of this printer and OS X 10.5, is that any PDFs created by the software are indexed by Spotlight. I'm able to search the PDFs content from Spotlight itself. Photos scanned on the glass at 300 dpi look just as good as photos from my inexpensive digital camera.

While we rarely print photos on high quality photo printer, the times we have, the printer performed as well as expected for an ink jet. We still send most of our digital prints to either Flickr or one of its competitors.

What kept me from giving the printer its fifth star is the problem I run into every time I change an ink cartridge. It never fails that I get an "Error 6502" every time a new cartridge is installed in the printer. Canon's web site nor searches on Google are not of much help. I eventually get it to work, but never sure what I did actually fixed it.
