Canon Printer
So far the printer has worked very well. Quality of copies and photos are far better than our old printer.

Great Machine!
This is a great printer and photo maker. I have only had it for 3 months so do not yet know how quickly the ink tanks empty bustdd I have make a lot of 8 X 10 color photos and the tanks are still close to full.

It does everything I have expected of it. It is a bit bulky so make sure you have adequate space for it.

Great Printer
I purchased a Canon Pixma MP970 recently. This is a great all-in one.
The photo quality is top-notch. Works well as a copier and scanner also.
Many things to learn about editing eventually, but you get great results by using the basic functions for all three modes. It looks like the ink will last a long time. You only have to replace the individual color that is low. The display screen and built in menus are great. I am very pleased with this printer.

Very Happy Customer
I've been using this printer for about 9 months now and am just as happy today as I was the day I installed it. It is easy to use and the print quality is very good. My favorite option is that it can scan old negatives. Just today I scanned some negative of photos taken when my Dad was overseas in the service 40+ years ago and the photos came out AMAZING! Some time ago I considered purchasing a separate scanner that had a feature for scanning negatives and I'm glad I waited and chose this printer. In one unit I can print, copy, and scan . . . . all with supurb results. Buy this printer and you won't be sorry.

First personal printer in 8 years
This is the first printer I have used for personal reasons in 8 years. I've used ones at the library for printing and ones at work for scanning, copying, faxing, and printing.

I've only used it for a few things for getting set up for school having just completed my military tour, such as printing forms and copying military documents.

Printing seems slow, though I'm sure I can speed things up with a few setting changes.

Copying works just as slow and the ink is still a little damp coming out, such as areas where the form is shaded.

Scanning, an important feature that I really want to get working, didn't work for me for some reason at first. It says, connect to PC and on the list it shows USB. I just used it for printing, but when I try to scan and it shows it's processing, nothing comes up on my computer. I rescan as a pdf and search for all pdfs on my computer and still cannot find the file. I checked the Canon site and downloaded and installed all the related software again and that solved the problem.

The cost of the ink tanks for this printer is very costly. There's no real way to set it to save ink (can't find the low dpi or fast res settings) and I've heard some people say that their color tanks were depleted after printing grayscale.
