Canon Pixma MP610 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer (2180B002)

I have had this printer for 4 weeks. This product is truly excellent value. The colors are vivid, prints very fast, is very easy to use, especially the 'easy-scroll wheel'. It was extremely easy to set up, and I like the software that came with it. I have not used the memory card feature or my camera with a usb cable yet, but I like to be able to use the printer without my computer. It scans fast as well. Just don't forget to buy a usb cable. I read the reviews before I purchased it, and so I was prepared. It also has a cassette tray, as well as the rear tray - which is so handy if you keep different size/types of paper in each one - just a push of a button to use either one.

This is the most expensive printer I have bought yet. After much research I purchased this one because of its feature set and print quality matches what I need the best. It's quite big and you need a sturdy table to support it when it's churning. The initial calibration require the use of a special paper that comes with the printer, I wonder if I would need more of them in the future. I wish the scanning surface is bigger, but overall it's an excellent product and I am expecting it to last a long time for me.

When the printer was hooked up for the 1st time, the scanner didn't work and then it quit altogether - making a horrible noise. Good news is, when I called, they shipped me a new one IMMEDIATELY, no questions asked and it is a gem - I love this printer! (they paid for return shipping too!)

I have owned Canon printers since the mid-nineties, and the MP610 is another reason to keep me coming back. This is the first multi-function that I have purchased, and I'm not disappointed. The best feature to me, as has been with all my Canon printers, is the individual ink tanks. It does save you money! The photo print quality is excellent, the scan quality on text is excellent, so what else do you want? If you're looking for a good, mid-priced, all-in-one, give the Canon MP610 a try.

I've had a Canon Pixma MP610 printer for two months. It has displayed the dreaded (and common - based on a web search) U150 error twice in the last week. The first time I was able to get the printer to work after removing and re-installing the magenta cartridge about 10 times. Tonight... same message - but nothing seems to work.
The printer has the original factory ink cartridges that are now two months old and have more than 80% of their original ink.
Aside from the fact that this error is so common, the real frustration is that the printer won't print or copy anything, even black and white, because of the error.
