printer probably OK, but Amazon is great
i can't say much about the printer because i have yet to use it. i was surprised, like many others, to find that it didn't come with a usb cable. so i ordered the bluetooth device. i'm sure it will work ok, once i get the computer and the printer to talk to each other.

but i want to sing the praises of amazon. i bought the printer when it had a 50 buck rebate. after reading about other buyers' experiences with canon rebates, i was took care filling out the form, sending along the receipt and the correct bar code.

then i waited for my money.

canon denied my rebate request.

i wanted to fill out the form again but couldn't find it online. i emailed amazon with my problem, and they credited me $50.

now that is customer service. and that will keep me coming back to amazon.

Great All-In-One for the price!
This thing prints very nice photos, and is fairly quiet too. It prints very fast, and the printing/scanning options are endless. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

Perfect Printer
I am replacing an Epson printer/scanner, and the Canon MP610 beats it hands down. My primary reason for getting rid of the Epson was the cost of the ink - I was spending WAYYYY too much money on ink cartridges that only lasted a short while. The MP610 has better print quality and is much more thrifty because of lower ink costs. Scanning quality is excellent, but I had no complaints about this on the Epson. The best feature of the MP610 is two sided printing - saves paper.

My only complaint is that they went way overboard on the software - five separate programs, and each one put an icon on the desktop (which were promptly deleted). This is very user un-friendly in my opinion, there is no reason for a printer to clutter up your system like this.

Canon Printer Pixma MP610
This is the first printer that I have purchased in years and I have been pleased with it's performance thus far. I was concerned about the cost of ink cartridges and liked the idea that it has five individual cartridges that can be changed independently of one another. So far I have not used it enough to use measurable amounts of ink so it will be a while before I can judge it's ink economy.

I also liked having a standard paper feed and another paper tray for other types of paper. I like to print recipes and have loaded the tray with 4x6 cards. The printer has handled the card stock with out any problems. The tray can also hold 8 1/2" x 11" or smaller photo stock paper

Photos are very good but not excellent. If you are extremely fussy about photo quality you may not be satisfied. If one looks very closely there are some very faint lines and color seems to be slightly off compared to my monitor. However, I find it very acceptable for my daily use. If you are looking for better quality you will have to pay more.

Set up worked easily on my PC running XP. I was not as pleased with the set up on my Mac but it is a blue & white G3 and is 10 years old so I am probably lucky that it works with it at all.

I am still getting acquainted with all features but so far it has done everything I have asked of it. I am very pleased and would recommend it for price vs. quality.

LOVE MY NEW CANON PIXMA MP610
Canon Pixma MP610 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer (2180B002) Bought this printer to replace my old Canon Multipass F80 that quit printing. This MP610 has exceeded my expectations for all features. I even had a document our church secretary said could not be copied. It copied it and the copy was better than the original. Thanks, Canon and Amazon
