Love and Hate
Had this camera for a couple of weeks...and was really liking it. I took it on a backpacking trip where the lens decided to stop working. Canon took it back and is working on it now. Lets see if they try to charge me even if its under warranty.

Very pleased!!!
After researching long and hard for a digital camera, I decided to purchase the Canon PowerShot SD850. I am very pleased with the camera. The camera actually exceeded my expectations. It takes really good pictures, the zoom feature works better than I thought it would, and it is very user friendly. I chose this model over some of the other Canon models because it has a viewfinder which I think is an important feature. It's useful in case the battery starts running low and you still need to take pictures but don't want to use the LCD screen.

Awesome Camera!
I've only had this camera for 3 weeks and so far I'm very impressed. It's very user friendly. I like the fact that it has Auto,Manual and Scene settings. So far, I have only used the kids & pets and the foilage settings, the results are great. I have a Kodak digital camera and everytime I went to use it the AA batteries were dead. So the battery pack is a major plus for me. The software is easily downloadable and easy to use. As an avid outdoorsman I can't wait to take pictures this fall with the foilage setting. I played with the macro setting on this camera and WOW it is really cool. Overall,so far, I really am glad I made this purchase.

Canon Powershot SD850
This camera is a gem. The stills are wonderful, but the real thrill lies in the video. It is so clear that it seems as if one is viewing an actual movie. The only disappointment is that there is no zoom while in video mode. I appreciate the optical view finder as well as a large lcd screen. The small camera body is good for slipping into one's pocket or purse, but it is a bit slippery and takes some getting used to to hold on to it.
