Canon WP-DC15 Waterproof Case for Canon SD850 Digital Camera

It's an expensive camera accessory, but well worth the investment. I've used it while scuba diving to get great footage underwater, and even on a hike to protect it from the elements or in case someone drops the camera. Thanks so much!

Used this for the first time in Mexico for snorkeling. Took great photos and video - except be very careful about getting suntan lotion on the lense. As others stated water droplets will show if not wiped off for above-water shots. The controls are simple to use. I had one slight problem with condensation on the first day but none after. Highly recommend.

I was thrilled with the Canon SD850 IS Camera -Canon PowerShot SD850 IS 8.0 MP Digital Elph Camera with 4x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and the WP-DC15 waterproof case Canon WP-DC15 Waterproof Case for Canon SD850 Digital Camera. I got great pictures and videos for very reasonably priced equipment. The underwater setting allowed me to take pictures without getting the excessive blue coloring that you often get with underwater pictures. I highly recommend both the camera and underwater case. I considered the waterproof bags that are available, but after reading the reviews decided that it would be worth the extra cost for the Canon case, rather than taking a chance with an inexpensive bag. I was very careful to follow directions for handling the gasket and put the silicon grease on before each use to make sure it remained waterproof. When not underwater, the camera is very compact and easy to carry around and use.

This waterproof case works great. I was leary at first taking a camera underwater even though it was in the case. But after approximately 200 pictures and three to four hours underwater I have no worries. I like the case out of the water as well because it protects the camera on the beach from sand getting in the lense and in general.

I am very pleased with this case. The controls are big enough for gloves. You can still see the camera control icons well enough but, knowing the camera is a big help. The case is secure but the camera comes out quickly. Most people will probably want to add weights. The camera is "fast" enough for the little flash to bring out color to some distance.
