THIS BATTERY IS SIMILAR TO THE ONE THAT COMES WITH THE LATEST NIKON DIGITAL SLR CAMERAS AND IS EASY TO CHARGE IN THE CHARGING UNIT WHICH COMES WITH THE CAMERA. ONE HAS TO MAKE SURE THAT ONE GETS THE PROPER UNIT INORDER TO INSURE COMPATABILITY WITH ONES CAMERA.

I always carry a back up battery in my camera bag. This one was purchased for My D300. So far this fits the bill as either the primary or back up.

This is my second battery for use mostly in traveling. If you travel a lot and do extensive hiking, do yourself a favor and buy a few extras of these. they'll come in handy when you're in the middle of nowhere.
