Joby GP1-11EN Quick Release Replacement Clip for Joby GP1 Gorillapod

Look, you're going to lose the one that comes with the GP1 - so get these (2 in a pack). They're cheap, you can leave them on most digital cameras without them getting in the way, and having one on each camera makes hooking up with the GP1 quick and easy. If you have a gorillapod, a pack of these is a must have. Be sure you have a GP1 though - or they won't fit.

This little tripod works great, and is very easy to attach, as long as you have a footpad for each of your cameras! Very versatile and easy to use!

This was recommended by Amazon when I ordered my Gorillapod SLR-Zoom Flexible Tripod for Digital SLR Cameras, yet, when I received the order I discovered there was no way to use these clips with the tripod I had ordered. The lesson here is definitely to make sure this works with the tripod you order!

Get these if you have a gorilla pod and you are:

a) forgetful, and lose small things
b) in possession of multiple point and shoot cameras

In reality, I don't see the need to ever take the clip off of the camera once you put it on. It is very small, less than 3mm profile when attached to the camera, so it will more than likely still fit in your case when it is attached.

With the SD1000, the memory/battery compartment can still be opened far enough to remove either when this is attached.

I received my Gorillapod as a gift and left the quick release clip that comes with it out on my desk. My cat found the clip and hid it somewhere... I bought a pack of replacement clips and can now use my Gorillapod. So, if you have more than one camera you want to connect your Gorillapod to, or if you tend to lose small objects easily, go ahead and get a pack of these replacements.
